India, Patna: The Imam of the al-Haram Masjid of the holy Kaaba Shareef in Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Saleh bin Muhammed bin Ibrahim aal Talib, will be in India next week to attend a peace conference in Patna, Bihar. Organisers said, “The eminent cleric will be in the city on April 1 to attend an peace conference on ‘Islam and peace’ and the conference is being organised by Tauheed educational trust,Kishanganj, Bihar.

“We expect a turnout of at least five lakh people for the peace conference on April 1. It is open for people belonging to different faiths,” said Bihar State Haj Committee’s chief executive officer Mohd Rashid Hussain. Tauhid Educational Trust chairman Motiur Rahman told TOI that separate arrangements would be made for women to offer namaz led by Imam-e-Kaba, who would also lead the evening prayers, including Maghrib Namaz and Isha Namaz. “The district administration will beef up security arrangements for the occasion. Special arrangements will be made for women as well,” Rahman said.
