Belgian police are searching for a person who had contact with the suspects in November’s Paris terrorist attacks shortly before they took action, local media reports.
The suspects were in touch with someone using two mobile phones in Belgium, the newspaper Het Nieuwsblad wrote on Monday.
A text message was sent from the attackers to one phone in Belgium saying that “action” was being taken, according to the newspaper De Standaard.Investigators believe that the person who was in possession of the mobile phones may have coordinated the Paris attacks, according to Het Nieuwsblad.
Belgian police carried out a search in the centre of Brussels on Sunday evening in connection with the hunt for that person.
